Some important facts you should be aware of to help you choose which type of rabbit hutch will be most suitable for your rabbit

If your rabbit is not fully grown you should try to find out approximately what size he/she will grow to when fully mature, the easiest way is to contact the breeder or shop you purchased your rabbit from who should be able to tell you.

As a very general guide your rabbit should be able to stand on its hind legs without its ears touching the roof of the hutch and should also be able to hop two and a half times accross the hutch. Your rabbit will also need a secure exercise area to play in where he/she can feel safe. My two rabbits occupy the Skeffington Rabbit Hutch with removable run and I can leave the hatch open 24 hours a day for them as they have now learnt how to open and close it themselves which enables them both access to the run 24 hours a day.

Try to provide your rabbit with the best quality hutch which you can afford and always remember buying a cheap hutch often means buying again and again and again you may be much better off going for a quality hutch right from the start which will save you money in the long run. You can expect a good quality rabbit hutch to last far longer than the life of your rabbit

Please remember that rabbits do get bored and a good way of helping to alleviate their boredom is to put toys and things to chew in their hutch and play area for them.
